About Ahora

Rooted in Resilience: Barrio Carite

n the heart of southeastern Puerto Rico lies Barrio Carite, a community embodying strength and resilience amidst nature’s extremes. Our journey at Ahora began here, in the embrace of Carite Forest’s lush greenery and the serene waters of Lake Carite. Faced with challenges from extreme weather to a legacy of environmental neglect, we’ve risen, committed to transforming adversity into action. Our initiative, Defensores de Carite, is a testament to this spirit - a collaboration aimed at safeguarding our freshwater resources and nurturing a resilient agriculture that can stand the test of time and climate. Join us in our mission to cultivate resilience, educate our community, and foster an environment where sustainability isn't just an ideal, but a lived reality.

By integrating AI into our projects, such as the pioneering Defensores de Carite initiative, we're breaking new ground in sustainable farming. Our AI-driven approach analyzes and interprets data to enhance decision-making, optimize resource use, and predict environmental impacts, ensuring our farming practices are both efficient and eco-friendly. Our commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering communities through technology is reshaping the agricultural landscape, making it more resilient, productive, and sustainable for future generations.
